Chocolate and blackberry slice recipe
A deliciously moist chocolate slice packed with blackberries and walnuts.
Ingredients
- 300 g dark chocolate
- 225 g unsalted butter
- 200 g milk chocolate, chopped
- 175 g blackberries
- 50 g walnuts
- 75 g self-raising flour
- 3 eggs
- 225 g light muscavado sugar

Step-by-step
- Preheat the oven to 190°C (374°F), melt the dark chocolate in a bain marie (or use a glass bowl over a saucepan of boiling water) and stir in the butter until melted. Remove from the heat.
- Mix the flour with the milk chocolate and walnuts, in a separate bowl beat the eggs and sugar.
- Pour the melted chocolate and butter into the egg mixture, beat together and stir in the flour, milk chocolate, blackberries and walnuts.
- Transfer to a greased and lined baking tin and bake in the oven for 40mins.
- Remove from the oven and leave to cool for 1 hour. Cut into squares and serve with the clotted cream, blackberries topped with mint and a dusting of icing sugar
