Cake in a mug recipe
This perfect little individual cake was the first video recipe of The Sorted Crew's to go viral. Capturing everything that Sorted stands for, this is quick, simple food at its best.
So if the thought of baking a chocolate pudding conjures up images of effort, time and mess, yet you still want to treat yourself, then this no-bake option is ready in minutes and perfect to snuggle up with in front of the TV.

Step-by-step
- Grab a large mug. Spoon dry ingredients into the mug and mix well.
- Crack in the egg and whisk with a fork to combine. Drizzle in the milk and oil and stir.
- Drop in a few chocolate buttons. Cook in a microwave for 2½ minutes on full power.
- Leave to rest for 1 minute then eat sprinkled with icing sugar, or with lashings of cream or ice cream.
