Lashings of fabulous food and a generous helping of family entertainment are on the menu on 27th and 28th June when Shropshire’s fastest-growing food festival returns to picturesque Shrewsbury.
Now in its third year, Shrewsbury Food Festival has become a firm favourite on the foodie calendar. Organisers are anticipating 20,000 visitors, eager to sample the sensational flavours of Shropshire and gourmet goodies from across the UK.
Shropshire is a county bursting with quality artisan producers, and restaurants with a genuine passion for promoting produce from field to fork. Shrewsbury Food Festival is the perfect setting to indulge in the best food and drink from the region.
The event sold out in its first and second year and is on course to do the same this summer, when it pitches up in the charming market town’s Quarry Park beside the River Severn. Having doubled in size since 2013, the event now welcomes 200 exhibitors including food and drink producers, craftspeople and hot food vendors.
With festival highlights including the popular chef demonstration stage, free children’s activities, live music and, of course, stalls laden with culinary delights, this is one summer event not to be missed.
