Our flippin' brilliant pancake competition with Just Milk & Pyrex

It's time to reveal the winner of our Pancake Day competition.

We all know the history of Pancake Day. A chance to use up the last ‘good things’ in the house like eggs and butter before the Christian fast of Lent. Of course nowadays a pancake looks positively lean compared to what most adults eat on a daily basis. We're also a more secular society. Either way though, pancakes are just one of those things we enjoyed as children, and re-discover as adults.  

A flippin' great prize

To mark this year's Pancake Day, we had a great prize package up for grabs, including a lovely Pyrex frying pan, precision measuring jug and mixing bowl, and a supply of Just Milk

The competition

To be in with a chance of winning, all we asked you to do was take a photo of you flipping a pancake, upload it to our Facebook wall, or tweet it with the hashtag #lovefoodpancakes and share the link in the Comments section below.

We had loads of great photos and videos - you can see the Facebook one by scrolling through our Wall. Thank you for all your entries.

We loved Melissa Cannon and Di Coke's fancy dress efforts, Lilinha Angel's 'Little Chef' did a grand job, as did Lynne O'Connor's son - well done.
Cheryl Louise Gauden's fella displayed some great 'cake tossing skills.
Mel Crumpton nearly won, after all she does need a new pan after hers broke on the first toss.

And the winner is...

The judges felt that Emily Ann Morris deserved the prize for flippin' while holding a toddler and making us laugh. Watch the video here
