30. Teisen lap
Otherwise known by the distinctly less charming names of 'wet cake' or 'moist cake', teisen lap was a miner's dream back when many Welsh workers spent their time underground. It's a moist, fruity cake, traditionally cooked on a plate, that was so appealing for workers because its texture meant it stuck together well inside lunchboxes and could be enjoyed anywhere – even in a mine.
