In the 70s 80s - the traditional pub was about to die - he helped to save it. he has consistently been honest is his outspoken views about the Eu views which have been proven true whilst his critics have admitted their statement to be untrue but yet have never withdrawn them. So now he's incredibly rich and who can envy him that? But he has used his public position to consistently lie (or be stupidly misguided) about tariffs, free trade and the implications of Brexit. He may gain, his customers will suffer most.
