Just to add a couple of things, there was another Marathon candy bar from the 1970s that was a twisted braid of milk chocolate coated chewy caramel that was nearly a foot long when it first came out. Also, as I remember, the tagline for Fruit Stripe gum was "Yipes Stripes! Fruit Stripes gum!". Now for some more forgotten favorites (of mine, anyway. Everyone should remember these): Atomic Fire Balls. Chunky candy bar. Good n Plenty. Jujy Fruits. Lemon Heads. Mary Janes. Red Hots (good rival to Atomic Fire Balls). Sweet Tarts. Tootsie Roll (and Pops). Zagnut candy bar. Zero candy bar, a rare white chocolate coated candy bar. There are so many more, and I ate so many of them as a kid I'm surprised I have any teeth left.
