Once you pop...
Pringles is best known for its classic red, green and blue tubes – which contain the Original, Sour Cream & Onion and Salt & Vinegar flavours, respectively. But it seems that once Pringles popped, it couldn't stop inventing different varieties. Over the years, the brand has generated more flavours than we can count, with many disappearing from shelves to make way for the next weird and wonderful creations. Here's just a taste of some of the most incredible Pringles flavours the world has ever seen, from pizza to pecan pie.
Click or scroll through our gallery to discover the most surprising Pringles flavours ever – counting down to the most innovative variety of all.
We've based our ranking on the reaction to each product at its time of release, and on the opinions of our well-travelled (and well-fed) team. This list is unavoidably subjective.

41. Honey Mustard
In February 2024, Pringles revealed that Honey Mustard was its most asked-for variety; it seems that fans in the US were very disappointed when the brand discontinued the flavour in 2022 and had been begging for its revival. Their wish was granted when Honey Mustard returned to American shelves in 2024 as a permanent addition to the line.

40. Buffalo Ranch
Pringles first ventured into the world of spicy ranch in 2013 with the release of its Buffalo Ranch Dip Pringles, which had an American football–themed can. The crisps have since dropped the 'dip' part of the name (and the themed can) to become a somewhat popular flavour in the USA, likely due to that intense, tangy taste.

39. Mexican Layered Dip
Mexican Layered Dip first came to the US in 2009 as part of Pringles' Restaurant Cravers line, and they've been spotted in Japan, too. Some taste testers claimed that the crisps really did feature distinctive flavours, such as beans, cheese and tomato. Other flavours in the range included Onion Blossom, Cheeseburger, Mozzarella Sticks & Marinara and Slow Cooked BBQ.

38. German Sausage
Almost no information exists about this flavour of Pringles. Little more than this one picture, depicting a can of German Sausage Pringles in Japan in 2006, proves that it was ever even on the shelves. But it appears to have been part of a wider range of 'German Selection' flavours that has since vanished without a trace. Intriguing.

37. French Onion Dip
If we were rating Pringles flavours by the designs on their cans, then French Onion Dip would rank pretty high. Two crisps sitting at a table sharing a bowl of French onion dip? Genius! Alas, this flavour from 2012 has to be considered for its taste – which put some people in mind of the classic Sour Cream & Onion flavour.

36. Bruschetta
Italian Bruschetta Pringles were spotted in the US and Japan in 2007 and 2008, but they don't seem to have set anybody's world on fire. They had a mild tomato taste (and smell), but it clearly didn't make enough of an impression to stand the test of time. Pringles has since moved on to other Italian flavours.
35. Wavy Deep Fried Pickle
American pickle fanatics could once get their fast food fix in the snacks aisle. In April 2021, Pringles US launched the limited-edition Wavy Deep Fried Pickle variety, sold only in Dollar General stores. They were even crinkle cut, in an homage to the shape of dill pickles.
34. Roasted Turkey
As soon as the first golden leaves fall to the ground, people go crazy about the imminent approach of Thanksgiving and Christmas. But for anyone craving the taste of turkey in easy-to-grab snack form, Pringles US offered Roasted Turkey Pringles in 2019. This standalone Roasted Turkey flavour was released after the popular Friendsgiving Feast Turducken Kit, which included six stackable holiday flavours: Turkey, Duck, Chicken, Cranberry Sauce, Stuffing and Pumpkin Pie.

33. Hot Diggity Dog
The crisp flavour you didn’t know you craved, Hot Diggity Dog was a Walgreens exclusive flavour in the US in 2016. Said to taste like a medley of smoke, mustard and spices, it was the next best thing to actually grilling up a dog on the barbecue or grabbing one from a street cart. Walgreens reportedly chose this flavour for its exclusive after being 'blown away' by the taste.

32. Ketchup
Arguably one of the most delicious crisp flavours ever to have existed, Ketchup Pringles are coated in a punchy seasoning that perfectly replicates the sweet and tangy flavour of tomato ketchup. It's not as odd as it might sound – they were already a big deal in Canada (and Turkey) before they arrived in the US in 2017.
31. Garlic Shrimp
Who doesn’t love juicy, buttery garlic shrimp? The comfort food is a favourite year-round and its essence was captured in Japan’s Garlic Shrimp Pringles which were sold in 2019. Though a little dryer than the actual dish, they packed a seafood aroma and the taste of roasted garlic, but just like the moreish meal, it was impossible to stop at one.
30. Mexican Style Salsa
Lovers of chips and dips adore the curved shape of Pringles, which is perfect for scooping up salsa. So it was only a matter of time before the Pringles powers that be combined the two, infusing the crisps with the tastes of fresh tomato and peppery Mexican-style spices. This genius flavour was sold in Korea in 2017 – and the US also had a similar Zesty Salsa flavour in 2015.

29. Thai Green Curry
This image of Thai Green Curry Pringles was taken in 2015 in China, and the flavour also hit the high street in Britain in 2017. In the UK, it was part of a range of four street food flavours that also included Spicy BBQ Ribs, Hot Chilli Sauce and Mac & Cheese. The crisps haven't got much of a legacy, though, suggesting people want their Thai green curry in a bowl rather than a crisp.
28. Wasabi Mayo
With its hot, horseradish-style intensity, the classic sushi accompaniment wasabi certainly packs a punch – so it’s no wonder Pringles turned it into an idea for a new crisp in Japan in 2015. To balance the spiciness, the crisps incorporated the creamy and sour taste of mayonnaise.
27. Pigs In Blankets
A seasonal favourite in the UK, pigs in blankets are a festive side dish of bacon-wrapped chipolata sausages – a must on many Christmas dinner plates. The smoky, salty party food seemed like a great candidate for a new crisp flavour, so it's no surprise that Pigs in Blankets Pringles arrived on the scene in 2015. They made a welcome return in 2017, too.

26. Grand Canyon French Fries
When you think of the Grand Canyon, you automatically think of French fries, right? Maybe not. It's hard to see the logic behind the name of this Pringles flavour, which appeared in Japan in 2010. One reviewer suggested the crisps tasted less like they were from the Grand Canyon and more like they were from a motorway service station. Either way, few people have asked for their return.

25. Tom Yum Song Kreung
Thai food lovers will be able to get on board with this flavour of crisp, which was offered by Pringles Malaysia in 2019. Tom yum is a spicy, sour soup that's native to Thailand; it's often made with chicken or prawns, plus super-sour tamarind, hot chillies, aromatic kaffir lime leaves and lemongrass. Song kreung refers to the fact it's been 'spruced up', though it's hard to imagine such complex flavours could be completely encapsulated in crisp form – let alone improved upon.

24. Rosemary & Olive Oil
Rosemary & Olive Oil Pringles were first released in France and Italy in 2012, and the flavour does seem like it would be more at home in a focaccia than a crisp. Still, the can promised that they were 'bursting with flavour' – although at least one review claimed this was part of the problem. The two flavours were perhaps too much for one crisp to handle.
23. Crab
This pastel-pink tube of Crab Pringles looked too good to miss when it landed on shelves in Europe and Russia in 2020. However, the crisps came dressed in a fishy seasoning, and the flavour divided buyers with its strong oceanic aromas. A similar variety, Soft-Shell Crab Pringles, was released in Japan in 2010.
22. Butter Caramel
Sweet and salty is a tried and tested combination, proven time and time again to be a hit with snackers. So, when Pringles launched Butter Caramel in South Korea in 2016, it was a no-brainer. Think salted caramel ice cream, sweet and salty popcorn and fresh pecan pastries.

21. Sichuan Style Spicy Chicken
Those who enjoy the intense, spicy flavours of cuisine from the Sichuan province of China will be familiar with the mouth-numbing properties of Sichuan peppers. They’ll also appreciate how well the flavours lend themselves to crisps. Inspired by the chicken dish from the region, Pringles Australia released Sichuan Style Spicy Chicken in 2021.

20. Cheeseburger
When you’re craving fast food but don’t have time to pick up a cheeseburger, Pringles has the perfect solution. Its Cheeseburger crisps are laden with a rich cheese flavouring and a piquant pickle accent. One version of the fast food–inspired snack first appeared on shelves in the US in 2008, and similar varieties have delighted fans all over the world since then.

19. Chicken Souvlaki
Going big on its international flavours, Pringles Australia launched Chicken Souvlaki crisps in 2020, inspired by the Greek street food (which sees chicken grilled on skewers, then served in a pitta with tzatziki and salad). If they tasted anything like a combination of Chicken Pringles and Sour Cream and Onion Pringles, they must have been very good indeed.

18. Emmental
Given its crowd-pleasing flavour profile, it was only a matter of time before Emmental cheese got the Pringles treatment. After all, why opt for generic cheese puffs when you can feast on deliciously buttery Swiss cheese–flavoured snacks from a can? Sold in Europe since 2018, the sophisticated flavour is still a hit. The brand once suggested pairing Emmental Pringles with grapes for a cheese board–style taste sensation.
17. Parmesan & Olive Oil
Parmesan & Olive Oil Pringles from Brazil came in an olive-green tube featuring the romantic image of an olive grove. But did they live up to the marketing? Some customers believed the dominant flavour was rosemary, so it really depends on who you ask. The variety first hit shelves in 2014.
16. Veggie Creations
Like the popular vegetable crisps sold by many brands, Veggie Creations aren’t made from regular potatoes – instead, they're made from purple potatoes, sweet potatoes and tomatoes. The beautifully vivid Pringles are seasoned with salt, mozzarella and garlic. Even if you're not keen on the flavouring, you might appreciate the pretty purple, red and orange colours. They launched in Australia in 2021 and have since made their way to other countries around the world.
15. Smokey Paprika & Almond
These unique crisps were launched by Pringles in Europe in 2021. Their Spanish-inspired taste combined the nuttiness of almonds with the smokiness of paprika, making them reminiscent of bar snacks. The variety was met with a positive reception from fans, who said they’d be running to the shops to buy it.
14. Beef Bowl
These crisps were inspired by gyūdon (also known in English as 'beef bowl'): a Japanese dish that's made by simmering beef slices and onions in a sweet and savoury sauce, then serving the whole lot over rice with toppings such as poached eggs and pickles. Pringles turned the comfort food into a portable snack in 2018 by coating its classic crisps in a rich beef and red ginger seasoning.
13. Dill Pickle
You're nothing in the US food industry these days if you don't have a limited-edition pickle flavour. Pringles jumped on the pickle bandwagon in 2022 with the release of its Dill Pickle flavour – a 'salty, tangy flavour experience', according to the brand. It was so popular that it became one of the top two flavours that people begged the brand to bring back. It returned to shelves in October 2024.
12. Wendy’s Spicy Chicken
Fans of global fast food chain Wendy’s iconic Spicy Chicken Sandwich could get their fix in crisp form with the US release of this limited-edition flavour in 2021. Though reviews were mixed, some praised it for carrying the perfect amount of heat. It’s not the only time the brand has taken inspiration from Wendy’s; Pringles' Baconator crisps, inspired by the Wendy's burger of the same name, are an old favourite.

11. Buttered Popcorn
Buttered popcorn is a classic cinema snack – but what do you do when you can’t decide between popcorn and crisps? For a short time, the dilemma was solved by these ingenious Buttered Popcorn Pringles. Launched in Australia in 2018, the flavour was said to perfectly encapsulate the slightly artificial butter taste and aroma we’ve come to associate with a night at the movies.
10. Roasted Seaweed
The sweet and salty taste of roasted seaweed goes great with Pringles. In 2021, the brand released this irresistible snack in two editions: Spicy Seaweed and Roasted Seaweed. These flavours were exclusively for 7-Eleven in Malaysia, but they're not the first of their kind. Seaweed crisps have been popular in parts of Asia for years.

9. Cinnamon & Sugar
Why Pringles didn't bite the bullet and call this variety Churros flavour is beyond us, as the taste profile is so similar. In any case, Cinnamon & Sugar Pringles made their debut in the US in time for Thanksgiving in 2012. When Today reported on the flavour, it said it was like a cross between Original Pringles and Cinnamon Toast Crunch cereal.
8. Pizza
It's pretty safe to say that pizza is an international favourite, so it was an ingenious marketing strategy when Pringles launched Pizza crisps for the first time in the US in 2000. The variety reached Brazil in 2014, and the cheesy, tomato-rich crisps have spread to most corners of the globe in one form or another since then. Some describe the taste as similar to ketchup.
7. Tokyo Famous Shop Curry
In 2021, Pringles launched the first limited-edition flavour exclusively for Tokyo: Tokyo Famous Shop Curry. The crisps recreated the flavour of hot rice served with rich and fragrant golden curry. They were popular enough that Pringles released the flavour in Taiwan in 2023 in honour of Japanese festivals.
6. Blueberry & Hazelnut
Blueberry and hazelnut isn't a pairing you often see, especially outside of desserts and cakes. But Pringles took the bold leap of putting the flavour combination in crisp form in Asia in 2009. The crisps were apparently part of a larger Fruit and Nut range, and tasters were undecided as to whether there was much nutty flavour in them – or anything pleasing at all, for that matter.

5. Milk Chocolate
Don't make the mistake of thinking these are regular Pringles, dipped and coated in chocolate. No, these are actually chocolate-flavoured Pringles. This flavour popped up in late 2014 alongside a White Chocolate version of the stackable snack. The general consensus was that while the flavour wasn't bad, it wasn't really that good, either.
4. Consommé
A fancy crisp flavour from Pringles in Korea, Consommé packed the hearty flavour of a rich broth into a tube. The limited-edition treat, released in the mid-2010s, received a positive response from customers, who were desperate to get their hands on the warming veggie stew flavour. Japan has also enjoyed the release of similar soupy flavours.
3. Sweet Mayo Cheese
Many of us go crazy for thick, creamy mayonnaise. It has an uncanny ability to perk up even the dullest of sandwiches, burgers and salads – and it turns out that it makes a great Pringles flavour, too. Sweet Mayo Cheese was a success when it was launched in Japan in 2014, and again when it hit South Korea in 2015.
2. French Salad
We've seen shrimp-flavoured crisps and soup-flavoured crisps, but salad-flavoured ones? It certainly seemed like a new idea when Pringles Japan debuted this flavour in 2016. They were described by the brand as having 'an addictive, refreshing, tart flavour', and the tangy vinegar-based flavouring made them reminiscent of salt and vinegar crisps.

1. Pecan Pie
To enjoy the sweet autumnal taste of pecan pie without so much as turning the oven on, one simply had to pop to the shops to pick up a tube of Pecan Pie Pringles – which were available in the US in 2013. It was Pringles' second foray into the world of sweet crisps; the previous year, the brand had released the widely despised White Chocolate Peppermint variety.
