Heavenly Heinz products the world loves
Set up by 25-year-old Henry J. Heinz, who first began bottling grated horseradish using his mother’s simple recipe in Pittsburgh, Philadelphia in 1869, this iconic brand has come a long way. By the 1870s, Heinz was a global sensation and come 1957, it was claimed that Heinz was the best-known brand name in Britain. Today, it's products can be found in homes across the world. Here, we look at the best Heinz releases of all time, from bizarre limited-edition sauces to all-time classics.
Click or scroll through our gallery for the ultimate list of Heinz products, as we countdown to the greatest of all.
We’ve based our ranking on the enduring popularity of each product, global sales data, and on the opinions of our well-travelled (and well-fed) team. The list is unavoidably subjective.
60. Beanz Pizza
Who can remember when Heinz first released its crowd-dividing bean-topped pizza? This controversial pan pie first landed in UK supermarket frozen aisles in 2003 and came piled with a rich tomato sauce, oozy mozzarella, Cheddar and a rather confusing helping of baked beans. While some eagerly tested it out, others were put off by the unusual topping and it was quickly taken off shelves. In 2022, it returned to UK supermarket Iceland with varied success, alongside a Heinz Beanz & Sausage Pizza flavour.

59. EZ Squirt
Heinz released EZ Squirt ketchups in the early 2000s in the US, first launching with an artificially coloured green style, before adding a purple, blue and ‘mystery’ bottle to the range. Despite being a fun product for kids, these were discontinued by 2006. A similar product, called Green Sauce, was released in the UK around the same time.
58. Classic Barbiecue Sauce
As the Barbiecore craze swept the world following the release of Greta Gerwig’s Barbie in 2023, Heinz got in on the act in spring 2024, announcing a collaboration with Mattel. The limited-edition, vibrant pink Heinz Classic Barbiecue Sauce mixed vegan mayonnaise with barbecue sauce to create a winning combination. Available in the UK and Spain, it was released to celebrate the 65th anniversary of the Barbie brand.
57. Spaghetti Carbonara
Fans of creamy carbonara might want to look away now... Heinz released this tinned version of the classic dish in August 2024, and let’s just say its launch wasn’t kindly received. Complete with spaghetti and pancetta in a cheesy sauce, it was slated across social media for both its appearance and lack of authenticity, with many describing it as both stodgy and slimy.
56. Tarchup
The condiment giant announced the arrival of three unusual-sounding sauces in 2021, and this time the public was responsible for their creation. Available exclusively in Canada, Heinz produced three mash-up flavours influenced by posts on social media. Tarchup, a mix of tartare sauce and Heinz Ketchup, was inspired by a Tweet posted by Arianne from Toronto – and surprisingly it wasn’t as grim tasting as it sounded, making an ideal match for fish and chips.
55. Walkers Sausage Sarnie with Heinz Tomato Ketchup
Neither Heinz nor Walkers (known as Lays outside of the UK) shy away from creating innovative flavour combinations, so when the two iconic brands announced their latest collaboration in summer 2024, British fans were both excited and sceptical. One of three crisp styles released, the Sausage Sarnie with Heinz Tomato Ketchup offered a unique take on the British breakfast classic. Smokey bacon-esque, with a hint of tangy tomato, this limited-edition flavour (available exclusively in the UK) was surprisingly tasty.
54. HoneyRacha
In 2020, Heinz once again combined two ingredients to create a sauce we'd never even thought about – and yet this honey-meets-sriracha mix worked brilliantly. American fast food chain Long John Silver’s even went as far as adding a fish taco complete with sweet yet spicy Heinz HoneyRacha to its menu for a limited period.

53. Kranch
This creamy concoction, blending the brand’s signature ketchup with herb-loaded ranch and spices, was released in 2019 – and while it sounds a confusing combination, it kind of works. Available in the US, the sauce pairs well with foods such as French fries and chicken nuggets and is rather tasty as a base for fried chicken sandwiches.
52. Monster Munch Pickled Onion Flavour Mayo
Released for 2024's spooky season, Heinz yet again teamed up with Walkers for a limited-edition Monster Munch–inspired mayonnaise, exclusively available in the UK. Drawing on the crisp brand’s popular pickled onion flavouring, this dip is, as Heinz describes it, 'scarily good'. Zingy with vinegar yet pleasingly creamy, this one works particularly well as a dip for French fries.
51. Walkers Roast Chicken with Heinz Mayonnaise
Another crisp flavour from the sandwich-inspired Heinz and Walkers collaboration of summer 2024, fans were initially a little unsure as to whether this classic combination would work in snack form. Much to crisp lovers’ delight, the Roast Chicken with Heinz [Seriously] Good Mayonnaise flavour delivered big on taste.

50. Wasabioli
Part of Heinz Canada’s limited-edition range inspired by old social media posts, the brand came up with Wasabioli, a wasabi and garlic aioli concoction. It was influenced by a post from a Toronto-based woman who turned to an online wedding forum for help removing a green-hued wasabi and aioli stain from her mother’s vintage dress. This strange-sounding product was surprisingly tasty, working especially well as a spread in sandwiches.

49. Oxtail Soup
Part of the Heinz Classics range, Oxtail Soup has been helping to cure wintery ailments for generations and continues to be a nostalgic favourite enjoyed across the UK. Chunks of oxtail and vegetables are slowly cooked down to create this rich, nourishing broth – just the thing for combating cold weather.
48. Heinz x Morley’s Fried Chicken Sauce
Another UK exclusive, Heinz teamed up with London fried chicken brand Morley’s in May 2024 to create a limited-edition sauce packed with flavour. The result of a successful pop-up restaurant in 2023, where the sauce was originally served, this tasty condiment features a blend of tomatoes, onions, paprika and chilli. Pair this one with – you guessed it – fried chicken for the ultimate combination.
47. Beanz Filled Hash Browns
Hoping to transform the breakfast game, Heinz launched its filled hash brown range in 2022 with varying degrees of success. The product, available from UK supermarket Iceland, featured crispy potato hash browns stuffed with baked beans. Despite some backlash from fans, the brand has since gone on to release Tomato Ketchup Filled Hash Browns and Barbecue Filled Hash Browns.
46. Beanz Tikka
In celebration of National Curry Week in the UK, Heinz unveiled a series of limited-edition baked beans inspired by popular curries in October 2023. The range included unique takes on creamy tikka, fiery vindaloo and fragrantly spiced jalfrezi. The products proved such a hit with fans that the brand relaunched Beanz Tikka in early 2024.
45. Pickle Flavour Tomato Ketchup
From crisps to chocolate, brands across the globe have been releasing pickle-flavoured products at lightning speed over the last few years, so it was only a matter of time before Heinz joined in. The condiment brand launched its Pickle Flavour Tomato Ketchup to UK customers in 2023, offering a tangy twist on its classic sauce. Fans recommend squirting it over pickle-packed burgers or chippy chips to really intensify the vinegary flavours.

44. Big Soup
Introduced in the mid-1970s, the Big Soup range is firmly established as one of Heinz’s best-loved offerings, defined by its hearty ingredients and comforting flavours. Popular in the UK, the range underwent a full rebranding in 2011 to drive sales and has since become renowned for its green, white and yellow design and portable pot-style packaging. These days fans can get their hands on Big Soup flavours such as Chicken & Veg, Chunky Vegetable, Lamb & Veg and Beef & Veg.

43. HomeStyle Chicken Gravy
Available in the US, Heinz HomeStyle Chicken Gravy is regarded as something of a pantry essential. Perfect for those low on time, it's a ready-to-use sauce you can just heat up and pour straight over everything from creamy mashed potatoes to chicken-fried steaks. Thick and saucy, it tastes almost as good as a homemade version.
42. Walkers Cheese Toastie with Heinz Beanz
Part of Heinz and Walkers’ collaboration, the pair released a crisp flavour inspired by Britain’s favourite lunchtime treat. Available exclusively in the UK, the Cheese Toastie with Heinz Beanz incorporated all of the cheesy, beany, tomatoey taste notes you’d expect. Despite many fans’ apprehension, it really worked.

41. Spaghetti Bolognese
Bringing plenty of nostalgia to the table, many Brits will remember eating a bowl of this for dinner. Slightly stodgy and a little flavourless, each tin comes crammed with spaghetti strings smothered in a meaty sauce. While nowhere near as popular as the brand’s tinned macaroni cheese, you can still find Heinz Spaghetti Bolognese on supermarket shelves across the UK and Ireland.
40. Scotch Broth
A stalwart of the brand’s comforting soup range, this tinned take on Scotch broth is hearty, flavourful and bound to make Brits of a certain age feel nostalgic. Packaged inside its signature red tin, the soup is loaded with mutton chunks, pearl barley, potatoes and veggies and remains a go-to winter warmer for many.
39. Hanch
The third and final product – and perhaps the most delicious of all – from Heinz Canada’s range inspired by social media posts, we have Deep from Vancouver to thank for this unusual release. Launched in 2021, Hanch combined hot sauce with ranch to create a creamy, spicy concoction that worked well as a dipping sauce for hot wings and pizza crusts.
38. Turkish Style Garlic Sauce
If you’re looking for a sauce to slather over homemade kebabs or grilled chicken, Heinz’s Turkish Style Garlic Sauce is hard to beat. Part of the brand’s growing UK range, this condiment is loved for its creamy, herby, intensely garlicky flavour. One squirt of this over your chips and you might never go back to regular mayonnaise.

37. Vegetable Soup
Another old-time favourite enjoyed for generations, Heinz Classic Vegetable Soup really is tasty. Made with carrots, peas, tomatoes and other hearty vegetables, one bowl of this nourishing broth feels like a warm hug on a cold winter’s day. For the ultimate comfort food meal, we recommend serving it with a crusty roll or hunk of wholemeal bread.
36. Mayomust
Following the success of the much-loved mayonnaise and ketchup hybrid MayoChup (Saucy Sauce in the UK), Heinz released two further flavours inspired by classic combinations. Riffing on a pairing many already know and love, Mayomust is a delectable mash-up of smooth, creamy mayonnaise and zippy, zesty mustard. Launched in 2019, it's still available in the US and UK.
35. Tomato & Mascarpone
While Heinz had been keeping pasta lovers (relatively) happy with its ravioli tins since the 1960s, it wasn’t until 2022 that the brand branched out into pasta sauces. It did so with plenty of fanfare and a huge advertising campaign, which included a formal apology to the UK public for not launching sooner. Part of the successful Heinz Pasta Sauce range was the Tomato Grana Padano & Mascarpone jar, complete with Italian tomatoes, Grana Padano cheese, extra virgin olive oil and mascarpone.

34. Chipotle Tomato Ketchup
Part of the brand’s range of spicy ketchups released in 2023, this squeezy bottle landed on supermarket shelves in the US to huge success. Designed with spice lovers in mind, it infused Heinz’s signature ketchup with pungent chipotle peppers for a fiery flavour sensation. Fans of the sauce can still smother their fries with it today.
33. Smokey Bacon Tomato Ketchup
Heinz frequently drops limited-edition versions of its signature sauces, but its Smokey Bacon Tomato Ketchup initially had fans wondering if for once they’d taken things too far. With its subtle smokiness, the condiment, released in the UK in April 2024, actually worked a treat when paired with the right foods. We’d recommend squirting this one over a bacon sandwich or hot dog to really intensify the porky flavours.
32. Piccalilli Pickle
Packed with crunchy veggies, this vinegary, yellow condiment is a British classic, most often served up alongside a jacket potato, as a flavourful sandwich filler or cheese plate accompaniment. Sadly, this retro Heinz product was discontinued in 2024, much to fans’ dismay. That said, it will live on forever in the hearts of many Brits of a certain age.
31. Rich & Creamy Truffle Mayonnaise
Heinz went fancy in 2020 with the release of its Rich & Creamy Truffle Mayonnaise. The condiment giant once again transformed its iconic mayonnaise, this time blending it with the rich, fragrant taste of prized fungi to create a delicious sauce. Perfect for levelling up any meal, you could serve a squirt of this with everything from French fries to steak. It was launched alongside two other flavours, Lemon & Black Pepper and Garlic & Caramelised Onion.

30. Macaroni Cheese
If you grew up in the UK, you’ll likely remember this one from your childhood. A kitchen cupboard staple, curly macaroni pieces are swathed in an oozy, pale cheese sauce. It might not be the best macaroni cheese on the market, but it sure delivers big on nostalgia. Those wanting to get their hands on it elsewhere can usually find it in UK-focused supermarkets around the world.

29. Minestrone Soup
While it might not be as tasty as a homemade version of this Italian classic, Heinz did a pretty good job with its pasta packed broth – and for many, it’s a tin of this that they think of when minestrone is mentioned. Hearty and comforting, a mix of pasta, vegetables and herbs combine to create a flavourful soup that’s a kitchen cupboard mainstay in numerous British homes.

28. Sriracha Tomato Ketchup
A popular product since its conception in 2015, a sriracha-flavoured tomato ketchup was always going to gain a loyal following. Perfect for those who love both the heat of sriracha and the tangy sweetness of ketchup, it’s exclusively available in the US. We’d recommend squirting this over your hot dog or drizzling on loaded fries for a fiery kick.
27. Beanz Cheesy
There’s no better ingredient to pair with a baked bean–topped jacket potato than cheese, so when Heinz partnered with iconic British cheese brand Cathedral City in spring 2024, fans were understandably excited. Cathedral City’s Extra Mature Cheddar and a smidge of cheese powder were added to the tangy tomato sauce to produce something of a taste sensation. A limited number of tins were initially released, before the product was rolled out across the UK.
26. Mayocue
If you’re a fan of mixing your sauces together, Heinz made things easier with the release of Mayocue. Launched alongside Mayomust in 2019, this tasty product blends mayonnaise and barbecue sauce together so you don’t have to. The sweet barbecue flavour is softened by the creaminess from the mayonnaise creating a smooth – and ridiculously tasty – finish.

25. Mayochup
Landing on US supermarket shelves in 2018, Mayochup blended two of the brand’s bestsellers to create a versatile dip people tend to either love or hate. Mixing creamy mayonnaise and tangy ketchup, for many it makes the ideal accompaniment to French fries, burgers and fried chicken. It launched in the UK a year later, under the name Saucy Sauce.
24. Vegan Mayo
Heinz entered the plant-based mayonnaise market in 2021 in line with the UK’s annual Veganuary celebrations – and it hasn’t looked back since. The creamy sauce swaps out the usual egg ingredient to create a delicious vegan alternative. Still available today, fans can pair this with everything from sandwiches and salads to chips and burgers.

23. Jalapeño Tomato Ketchup
Adding a fiery spin to a true classic, Jalapeño Tomato Ketchup saw spicy chillies blended with Heinz Tomato Ketchup to produce a sauce with a powerful, peppery finish. Perfect for adding some heat to a hot dog, if you whip this one out at your next barbecue everyone will thank you.

22. Sweet Chilli Sauce
Capitalising on the sweet chilli sauce trend circulating in the 2010s, Heinz added to its ‘thick’ sauce range with the launch of this tasty condiment in 2014 (other flavours in the collection included jerk BBQ, peri peri and hot pepper). Lovers of the subtly spicy and extra sweet sauce could use it as a marinade for the likes of chicken and pork, or as a dipping sauce for Asian-inspired starters such as crispy tofu and spring rolls.
21. Beef Ravioli
Heinz introduced a take on the classic Italian filled pasta dish in 1965, with the release of its now-iconic Beef Ravioli. Rather than being served on its own as a main meal, kids across Britain would enjoy a portion of this spooned over buttery toast (all the better if you were allowed to eat it in front of the TV). Packaged inside its signature yellow, orange and pink tin, the beef-stuffed ravioli still comes swimming in a sweet tomato sauce.

20. Country-Style Sausage Gravy
Part of the Heinz HomeStyle range in the US, this ready-made jarred sauce is almost as good as the diner special it’s inspired by. Fans of American-style biscuits and gravy can get their comfort food fix at home with this popular Heinz product, which comes packed with real pieces of cooked pork sausage.
19. Tomato & Spicy ‘Nduja
Another product from Heinz’s pasta sauce range, which launched in the UK in 2022, the rather sophisticated Tomato & Spicy ‘Nduja sauce won customers over from the start. Made with the on-trend Italian spreadable pork sausage, ‘nduja, it has a nice spice to it without being overbearing. Stir through freshly cooked rigatoni for an easy midweek meal that feels that little bit special.
18. Beanz Burgers
With the popularity of meat-free alternatives growing, it was only a matter of time before Heinz introduced a bean-loaded burger to its repertoire. Its Beanz Burgers launched in partnership with food delivery service Deliveroo, before making their way into UK supermarkets in 2021. A few varieties have since become available, including Original (with beans, tomato, mushroom and mixed spices), Texan Style (beans, spicy chilli, chipotle and sweetcorn) and Italian Style (a vegetarian option with beans, mozzarella, peppers and mixed herbs).
17. Every Sauce
Ever wondered what a combination all of your favourite Heinz sauces would taste like? Well, Heinz made that thought a reality in summer 2024, with the launch of its Every Sauce, created in partnership with creative agency W+K London. Available exclusively in the UK, this condiment blended 14 of the brand’s most popular flavours to create one creamy concoction and included everything from Chip Sauce to Truffle Mayo, Pickle Ketchup and Sweet Chilli. Only 100 bottles were produced, and eager tasters could snaffle a sample via the company’s website.

16. Chicken Noodle Soup
A comforting favourite, this hearty soup – especially popular in the UK – has been helping people get through cold winters for years. The type of tin your mum would crack open as soon as there was a sniffle in sight, it’s hearty and comforting. To this day a warming bowl, with its thick noodles and savoury chicken flavours, is enough to bring on a bout of nostalgia.

15. Sandwich Spread
Packed with crunchy vegetable pieces (cabbage, carrots and gherkins included), this vinegary spread is one you either love or hate. Popular throughout the mid-20th century, you’d usually find it smeared across sandwiches complete with slices of ham, cheese or chicken. While it’s always been a controversial item, it certainly has staying power and continues to be sold in the UK, Canada, the Netherlands and Australia.

14. Burger Sauce
Designed with one purpose in mind, you’ll find a bottle of this mayo-based sauce lining barbecue tables across the globe. While its packaging varies from market to market (outside of the US and Canada, it’s known as American Style), its ingredients are largely the same, with a zingy combination of tomatoes and herbs. Smother this sauce over a nicely charred burger and you’ve got a recipe for success.

13. Sweet Relish
Described by Heinz as ‘a common condiment done uncommonly well’, this popular product pairs perfectly with burgers, sandwiches and hot dogs. Sweet Relish mixes crunchy pickled cucumber, cabbage and red pepper with zingy vinegar and an all-important dash of turmeric to create a tasty sauce that elevates all manner of dishes and is a firm pantry staple for many US-based fans.
12. Ploughman’s Pickle
While British food brand Branston may be better known than Heinz for its sweet, crunchy pickle, Heinz Ploughman’s Pickle was still the favoured option for many. Despite making pickles since the 1860s, the brand announced that the product had been discontinued in summer 2024, causing much upset within the pickle-loving community. Made up of carrots, swede, cauliflower and onion, this vinegary chutney paired brilliantly with cheese and crackers.

11. Tartare Sauce
No fish and chip experience in the UK is complete without a side of tartare sauce and, more often than not, it comes in the form of a miniature squeezy pouch of Heinz Tartare Sauce. Now available across the globe, including Australia, Canada and the US, it serves as the perfect creamy yet tangy accompaniment to fresh fish and seafood.
10. Mayoracha
Available in Canada, the US and the UK, Mayoracha combines sriracha, mayonnaise and a special blend of spices to create a creamy, tangy sauce that delivers plenty of heat. While you can slather this flavourful delight over everything from French fries and salads to burgers and hot dogs, those in the know say it make an ideal accompaniment to sushi.

9. Salad Cream
A very British invention, Heinz Salad Cream quickly became a household staple following its release in 1914. Over a century later and it’s still loved by the nation. Despite its name, most condiment lovers use this as a sandwich spread rather a salad dressing; in fact, Heinz even went as far as nearly changing its name to Sandwich Cream in 2018, before quickly backtracking after uproar from the British public. However you use it, its distinctive, vinegary flavour is hard to beat.

8. Spaghetti Hoops
Best enjoyed spooned over buttery toast, it’s hard to imagine a time without this British breakfast and lunch staple, and yet Heinz Spaghetti Hoops didn’t launch until 1969. Since then, the popularity of the ring-shaped pasta in rich tomato sauce has soared and the product is loved by children and adults alike. Enriched with iron and free from artificial colours, flavours and preservatives, this is a true classic that’s here to stay.

7. Yellow Mustard
While there are arguably more popular mustards out there, Heinz Yellow Mustard is hard to fault. The condiment giant relaunched its already established product in 2015 in a bid to become America’s favourite, reworking its recipe to include 100% natural ingredients, from mustard seeds to a secret spice blend. The result? A zingy, flavour-packed product more than worthy of squirting over your hot dog.

6. [Seriously] Good Mayonnaise
While it feels as though Heinz [Seriously] Good Mayonnaise has been around forever, the condiment specialist actually only launched its signature creamy concoction in 2016. Despite this, it’s now a favoured option for mayo enthusiasts. Rich, smooth and very tasty, it goes well with just about everything. A similarly loved product, titled Deliciously Creamy Heinz Real Mayonnaise, is available in the US.

5. 57 Sauce
Introduced in 1911, Heinz 57 Sauce became an instant family favourite and can still be found gracing kitchen cupboards across the US over a century later. Made with a secret blend of spices, it’s rich and flavourful and is often served alongside steak. Fans of the stuff also use it to marinate meats or as a dipping sauce.

4. Classic Barbecue
While there’s no denying homemade barbecue sauce is best when it comes to marinating meat, Heinz did a pretty good job at making the flavours mainstream with the launch of its Classic Barbecue dip and marinade in 1940. Sweet, tangy and delicious, you’ll find this product sold across the globe, often nestled next to a bottle of Heinz Tomato Ketchup. The condiment brand has since released further flavours influenced by the original, including Sweet Barbecue and Carolina Vinegar Style.

3. Cream of Tomato Soup
First sold at luxury London department store Fortnum & Mason in 1910, Heinz Cream of Tomato Soup is still one of the world’s best-loved tinned soups. In fact, it’s estimated that the brand had sold over 8.2 billion tins of the stuff when it celebrated its 100th anniversary in 2010. The recipe has largely stayed the same over the years, though Heinz has since removed the dairy to make it vegan. Thankfully, it’s still just as creamy and delicious as it always was.

2. Beanz
Whether piled onto a piping hot jacket potato with grated cheese or spooned over buttered toast, Heinz Beanz have been British household staples since the early 20th century. First produced in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, they were brought to the UK by founder Henry Heinz in the early 1900s, first sold at London department store Fortnum & Mason. Originally marketed as a luxury item, baked beans are now loved across the UK – and beyond. While the classic recipe features haricot beans in a rich tomato sauce, Heinz has released numerous styles over the years, from barbecue to curry flavours.

1. Tomato Ketchup
Whether you use it as a dip for French fries, view it as a non-negotiable with a hot dog or can’t contemplate a bacon sandwich without it, there’s no denying that Heinz Tomato Ketchup is a condiment sensation. Originally named Catsup, the renowned red sauce first landed on US shelves in 1876 and was made with five simple ingredients. Henry J. Heinz quickly took things global, first selling his tasty product at Fortnum & Mason in London. Now it's an international icon, distinguished by its rich red colour, tangy flavour and signature packaging.
