Georgia: Busy Bee Cafe, Atlanta
A real Atlanta institution, this old-timer has been around since 1947, serving excellent fried chicken that customers keep coming back for. The recipe for success here is simple – the chicken is brined for 12 hours, hand-breaded, and freshly fried. The smothered version, which sees the chicken served on rice with a generous amount of pan gravy, is equally good. Georgia: Kimchi Red, Alpharetta
Some passionate customers say that this small, family-owned Korean restaurant serves the most flavorful fried chicken in the whole country. Arthur Davis, the owner of Old Country Store, has earned the nickname 'King of Fried Chicken' for good reason.
