Back when the original Fritz’s opened on Kansas City’s North 18th Street in the 1950s, founder Fritz invented a mini train to carry burgers, fries, and shakes around his restaurant due to staff shortages – and the contraption hasn't changed in decades. Today, the three restaurants (two in Kansas City and one in Shawnee) feature train memorabilia like wooden train sets and crossroad signs. There’s nowhere else quite like them.
