Ever wondered which zodiac signs most successful people belong to? Using data from Forbes 2018 Rich List, we took the available birth dates of the 100 richest people in the world and researched which star sign they all are. So which horoscope rules supreme and is yours at the top?

Sagittarians are said to be generous, idealistic and have a great sense of humor. Unfortunately, they’re also known for making promises they can’t deliver on, will say anything no matter how undiplomatic it may be and can be quite impatient.

There are three Sagittarian billionaires in the top 100, down from six in 2017. They include: Fidelity Investments CEO Abigail Johnson, worth $14 billion (£11bn), and property tycoons David and Simon Reuben, worth $14.4 billion (£11.3bn).

Pisceans have great intuition, are wise, gentle, compassionate and artistic. But they can be fearful, overly trusting and often play the victim or a martyr.

In joint eleventh place is Pisces with four billionaires. They include: luxury goods baron LVMH CEO Bernard Arnault, worth $76 billion (£59.6bn); Australian media tycoon Rupert Murdoch, worth $19.1 billion (£15bn); and Dell founder and CEO Michael Dell, worth $32 billion (£25.1bn).

Capricorns are known for being responsible, disciplined, full of self-control and are recognized leaders. On the flipside they can be unforgiving, condescending and a bit of a know-it-all.

Four billionaires also identify as Capricorns. One of the most notable is Amazon founder and CEO, a richest man in the world, Jeff Bezos, worth $123 billion (£96.5bn). Other Capricorn billionaires are Russian entrepreneur Vladimir Potanin, worth $16.4 billion (£12.86bn); and Safra National Bank of New York chairman Joseph Safra, worth $19.5 billion (£15.3bn).

Virgos have a whole bunch of traits that set them in good stead to be successful. They’re said to be loyal, practical, analytical and hardworking. However, they can also be overly critical of others, worrisome and tend to be all work and no play.

Six billionaires also identify as Virgos. Among them are business magnate Warren Buffett, worth $80.6 billion (£63.2bn); Alibaba Group chairman Jack Ma, worth $33.8 billion (£26.5bn); and beer billionaire Jorge Paulo Lemann, worth $19.9 billion (£15.6bn).

Geminis have the ability to learn quickly and exchange ideas; they’re also very curious and are highly adaptable in various situations. However, they can also be indecisive, inconsistent and nervous.

There are also six Gemini billionaires in the top 100 list. They include: Thomson Reuters chairman David Thomson, worth $25 billion (£19.6bn); Walmart heir Jim Walton, worth $43.2 billion (£33.9bn); and Ukraine-born, London-based business magnate Len Blavatnik, worth $15.7 billion (£12.3bn).

Cancerians are described as empathetic, tenacious, loyal, persuasive and highly imaginative. On the downside they can also be moody, suspicious, manipulative and insecure.

The number of Cancerians on the rich list has risen by two since 2017, with seven billionaires belonging to this star sign. Some of the most notable include: Tesla Motors founder and CEO Elon Musk, worth $22.1 billion (£17.3bn); Heineken heiress Charlene de Carvalho-Heineken, worth $13.8 billion (£10.8bn); and Cheung Kong Holdings founder Li Ka-shing, worth $37.7 billion (£29.6bn).

Being brave, resourceful, passionate and stubborn are all strong traits of a Scorpio. Their weaknesses include jealousy, distrust and they can be too secretive.

There are seven Scorpio billionaires on the list as well. The world’s second richest man, Bill Gates, worth $93.9 billion (£73.6bn), is one of them. Other Scorpios include: Steve Jobs’ widow Laurene Powell Jobs, worth $18.4 billion (£14.4bn); and Chinese real estate developer Wang Jianlin, worth $31.3 billion (£24.5bn).

Aquarians are likely to be independent, original and progressive. They’re also likely to be temperamental, uncompromising and aloof.

Aquarius comes in equal eighth place with eight billionaires. They include: former New York Mayor and business magnate Michael Bloomberg, worth $43.3 billion (£33.96bn); UNIQLO founder Tadashi Yanai, worth $26.7 billion (£20.9bn); and Mexican telecoms tycoon Carlos Slim Helu, worth $56 billion (£43.9bn).

Aries are courageous, determined, confident, honest and passionate people. On the downside they’re also moody, impatient, aggressive, short tempered and can be impulsive.

There are 8 billionaires in the richest 100 with an Aries star sign. They include: India’s richest man Mukesh Ambani, worth $44.7 billion (£35.1bn); Google co-founder Larry Page, worth $48.2 billion (£37.8bn); and Zara founder Amancio Ortega, worth $60.3 billion (£47.3bn).

Taureans have all the traits to be a great leader. They’re known for being reliable, patient, practical, responsible and stable. However, they can also be stubborn, possessive and uncompromising.

There are 11 Taureans in the richest 100, up from eight in 2017's list. They include: Facebook founder and CEO Mark Zuckerberg, worth $53.8 billion (£42.2bn); BMW heiress and Germany’s richest woman Susanne Klatten, worth $20.5 billion (£16.1bn); and Koch Industries vice president David Koch, worth $47.2 billion (£37bn).

Creative, passionate, generous, warm-hearted and cheerful are all traits of a Leo. But on the flipside they can also be stubborn, lazy, self centred and arrogant.

Also with an impressive 11 billionaires, Leo is the joint second most successful star sign in our list. If you’re a Leo you’re in great company. Some cashed-up Leos include: Google co-founder Sergey Brin, worth $52.1 billion (£40.9bn); Francois Pinault, who owns high-end design houses Gucci and Yves St Laurent, worth $27.6 billion (£21.6bn); and Oracle founder Larry Ellison, worth $28 billion (£22bn).

Librans are diplomatic, gracious, fair-minded, social and cooperative. However, they’re also known to carry a grudge, avoid confrontations and can be indecisive.
