Introducing the 'not cross bun'
A new bun for non-believers is now available from a family bakery, just in time for Easter.
News reaches lovefood HQ that upmarket bakery and deli Dawkins & Hitch in Oxford have launched the ‘not cross bun’. This springtime delicacy is aimed at those that don’t believe in any deity but who still want to enjoy a glistening, spicy fruity bun at this time of year.
Taste test
We’ve tried the samples sent to the office alongside the regular ‘crossed’ version (pictured) and can safely report that they taste exactly the same, especially when slathered in butter. The buns are available by mail order, as well as selected shops in the Oxfordshire area.
