SEPTEMBER
9-10 September, Quintessentially Epicure, The Hurlingham Club, London
The first ever food festival from the luxury brand Quintessentially. Ticket prices are from £100 for a day pass to £500 for a full VIP weekend experience. It promises to be a real treat as there are nine Michelin starred chefs demonstrating at the show, from Marcus Wareing to Giorgio Locatelli.
9-11 September, Ludlow Marches Food and Drink Festival, Ludlow Castle, Shropshire
This was Britain's first successful food and drink festival when it started back in 1995. It's grown considerably since then, highlights include a Michelin starred 'Pop Up' Restaurant with Shaun Hill, Claude Bosi and Glynn Purnell who will be cooking throughout the weekend. Day tickets from £8.50 available at the castle.
9-12 September, Harvest at Jimmys, Jimmy's Farm, Suffolk
Harvest is a celebration of food and music for friends and for families. Featuring demos from James Martin, Richard Corrigan and more, plus music from Eliza Doolittle, the Kooks and more. Day tickets from £36.
10 September, Fishstock Brixham, Torbay, Devon
Seafood and music lovers gather to show support for the fishing and seafood community of Brixham, with proceeds contributing to the Fishermans Mission charity. Day entry from £5, opens at 11am till late. Email mail@fishstockbrixham.co.uk for tickets.
17-18 September, Abergavenny Food Festival, Abergavenny, Wales
200 stalls, masterclasses, tastings, talks, restaurant tasters and a Fringe programme there's so much on offer. And it's very much a family event, with free entry to all children under 16 (if accompanied by an adult). Email shoppingcart@abergavennyfoodfestival.com for tickets.
24-25 September, Aldeburgh Food and Drink Festival, East Suffolk
An impressive two-day programme of talks, workshops and cookery demonstrations from top chefs including, Matthew Fort, Galton Blackiston, Valentine Warner, Sheila Dillon, Brett Graham and Fergus Henderson, as well as many of the finest local Suffolk chefs. Day tickets £6 if bought online, £7 on the gate.
24-25 September, Great British Cheese Festival , Cardiff Castle, Wales
A weekend of pure indulgence for cheese lovers; with over 400 cheeses from some 100 British and Irish cheese makers for visitors to try, taste and buy. Plus master classes and demonstrations on the arts of the artisan cheese maker and even cheese sports! Day tickets from £8.75 available online or by calling 029 20 230 13.
OCTOBER
7-17 October, Manchester Food & Drink Festival, Manchester
Now in it's 14th year, this is an urban food and drink festival that takes over as much of the city as possible, with indoor and outdoor events. Highlights include Hugh Fearnly-Whittingstall doing a cooking demo on Friday 14th. Tickets need to be bought for the individual events.
15-16 October, Chocolate Unwrapped, Vinopolos, London
Immerse yourself in a decadent feast of chocolate with the worlds best chocolate companies all under one roof. A whole day to marvel at chocolate sculptures, watch chocolate cooking demonstrations, taste a variety of exciting new flavours, new chocolate, unexpected pairings and classic favourites. 22-23 October, One World One Chutney, Neidpath Castle, East Lothian
If you like chutney then the International Chutney Festival with food, words and lots of sauce is for you. Highlights include Jane Fearnley-Whittingstall and of course the International Chutney Awards. Tickets from £10 on the door.
22-23 October, Wimbourne Food Festival, Wimbourne, Dorset
Independent food producers, brewers, winemakers and chefs highlighting the very best in local food and drink. Lots of delicious things to eat and drink and loads of excellent events. Entry is free.
