Summer is over, but as the days get shorter and the nights get colder, it doesn’t mean all the food and drink festivities are finished. There are still a whole host of festivals to enjoy.
All details listed below are correct to the best of our knowledge at the time of writing. Events may be more expensive if you pay on the door. Please feel free to recommend other events in the comments section below, but no trade events please.
Some outdoor festivals may be called off in poor weather, so you'd be wise to check they are going ahead before travelling.
Robin Hood Beer & Cider Festival
What: This festival boasts the largest selection of cask-conditional real ales, along with over 200 ciders. And there'll be live music and lots of catering stalls too.
When: 12-15 October
Where: Nottingham Castle, Nottingham NG1 6EB
Cost: Wednesday ticket is £10; standard day ticket (not including Wednesday) is £15

Falmouth Oyster Festival
What: A celebration of the quality and diversity of seafood in Cornwall in the event's 20th year! Celebrity chefs lead cookery demonstrations, alongside renowned local chefs, and the festival always opens with a special guest demo followed by a book signing. With oysters, wine and local ale, all manner of seafood, sea shanties, a vibrant parade through town, live music performances and a gripping oyster-shucking competition, it should be an event to remember.

The Chocolate Show
What: The UK's biggest chocolate celebration! There will be stalls laden with chocolate along with big names and international producers. Apart from tasting the artisan chocolate on offer, there will be a delicious line-up of chefs, some of which will have graced your TV screens before.
When: 14-16 October
Where: Olympia West, Hammersmith Road, Kensington, London W14 8UX
Cost: Adult admission is £12.50 in advance, or £15 on the door; children from 4-12 years old are £8 advance, or £10 on the door.

Gluten Free Sausage and Beer Festival
What: The first ever Gluten Freedom Beer and Bangers Festival will be a celebration of the very best and award winning Gluten-free Beer and sausages.
When: 15 October (11am-10pm)
Where: The Nathex, Unthank Road, Norwich NR2 2PA
Cost: Free until 4pm, then from 5pm-10pm you will need to purchase a ticket (£24.36)

Manchester Oktoberfest 2016
What: Enjoy a taste of the German festival in the heart of Manchester with German beer, food, music and so much more.
When: 19-23 October
Where: Albert Square, Manchester
Cost: Entrance is free Wednesday; Thursday, Friday and Sunday, entrance is only £5, and on the Saturday there be a £10 entrance fee. Although, you could purchase a food, beer and seat reservation package for £14.50.

Glasgow Oktoberfest 2016
What: The much-loved event will be back in Glasgow with a taste of Bavarian culture for all to enjoy.
When: 19-23 October
Where: Blythswood Square, Glasgow
Cost: General admission is free but, depending on your choice of package, the prices range from £10.50 for a Bavarian ticket to £56 for the VIP package.

Hoxtoberfest
What: Bavaria meets Hoxton at Hoxtoberfest. This event is Oktoberfest with a twist, as the event takes place at Hoxton Docks on a boat. There are authentic German cocktails, Dirty Brasstards (a brass band playing modern classics) and a German pop band. But of course, there will be all the steins and sausages you can get your hands on.
When: 20-22 October (6pm-midnight)

Cost: £30 including 1L stein of Erdinger Fest Bier and food

Manchester Whisky Festival
What: The 8th annual Manchester Whisky Festival will give visitors the chance to taste homegrown whiskies from all over Scotland and a fine selection of whiskies from all over the world.
When: 22 October

Conwy Feast
What: The largest food festival in North Wales! There will be nearly 50 street food stalls including American and Welsh. There will also be art, music and traditional skill demonstrations.
When: 22-23 October
Where: Rose Hill St, Conwy LL32 8AY
Cost: Under 16s go free all weekend, but an adult ticket starts at £6.80 for a Sunday ticket and go up to £13.60 for a weekend ticket.

Elsecar Food Festival
What: Here's a day out for the whole family to enjoy with exceptional food and drink. James Martin will be performing live cooking demonstrations. So there's an added bonus!
When: 23 October (10am-5pm)
Where: Elsecar Heritage Centre, Wath Road, Elsecar, Barnsley S74 8HJ
Cost: £3.50 admission fee, and if you'd like to see James Martin's live demo it will be £15, and a VIP demo is £30.
