What’s the perfect way to make a bacon sandwich? Research for Direct Line polled 1,003 adults and found that the favourite approach was smoked back bacon and brown sauce on untoasted white bread.
A divide was apparent between west and east regions, with westerners opting for brown sauce, while more people in the east of the UK preferred ketchup. While smoked bacon beat unsmoked overall, unsmoked wasn’t without its fans.

Not wanting to go out the way he did, I stick to the (comparatively) low calorie two-filling sarnie, and eat these very rarely! On a special occasion, I’ll sneak an egg in there too. I prefer eating this on wholemeal bread, so at least there’s a token attempt at healthier eating in there.
Or maybe the best way would be with Stilton and chocolate...
