Turkey might be the centrepiece, but is it really the best bit about Christmas dinner?
British Christmas dinner is fairly set in its ways. The same components are recreated each year by millions of people: a big turkey, roast potatoes, sprouts, stuffing, gravy.
What we want to know is: which part of the meal is the best?
No stomach for pudding
I have to confess to not being much of a fan of Christmas pudding, and I rarely have the appetite to enjoy a slice of cake after demolishing the main course.
And despite the turkey being the ‘main’ bit of the dinner, I’m much more of a fan of 'pigs in blankets' (mini sausages wrapped in bacon, though I'm sure you all knew that), roasted parsnips and stuffing. Picking my favourite from those three delicious morsels is close to impossible.
What’s your favourite?
Do you gobble the turkey, or go straight for the stuffing? Are you a parsnip fan or do you savour sprouts?
Or maybe you hold back on the savouries to leave room for the sweet? Let us know how you do Christmas dinner in the poll below. We’ve included the big hitters of the meal, but if your favourite has been omitted, be sure to let us know in the Comments below.
If you’re a vegetarian and have an alternative to turkey that’s your fave, pick ‘Veggie option’ and let us know what you like to eat for Christmas dinner in the Comments too!
