Win a day-long bakery class with Peter Sidwell

We’ve got the perfect opportunity for amateur bakers looking to scratch that Bake Off itch and further hone their skills.

Lovefood has teamed up with Peter Sidwell’s Simply Good Cookery School to offer one reader the opportunity to win a pair of tickets to a ‘How To Bake’ class on 21st November 2014.

Over the six-hour session you’ll learn how to make everything from cakes to breads and croissants, and everything produced will be carefully packed up for your trip home.

Peter Sidwell judges on ITV’s Britain’s Best Bakery and is an award-winning chef: so you can be sure he knows a thing or two about baking, and will have plenty of knowledge to pass on to our lucky winner.

And that's not all...

What's more, you’ll also get B&B treatment from the three-star Westmorland Hotel, located on the borders of the beautiful Lake District in Cumbria on 20th November. Just a two minute walk away is the Tebay Services farm shop, which stocks all kinds of goodies you might pair up with your freshly baked goods.

The cookery school is based just a short drive from the Westmorland, at the Rheged Visitors Centre.

And just to top everything off, Peter has also kindly offered to supply a signed copy of his book, Simply Good Family Food.

How to win

To win this great prize, all you have to do is sign in to your Lovefood account (or register here if you don't already have one) and complete the following sentence using the Comments box at the bottom of this page:

Dear lovefood, my favourite thing to bake is…

And we’ll pick our favourite answer after the competition closes.

Competition closes Monday 3rd November. Entrants must be 18 or over. Winner is responsible for arranging and paying for their own travel arrangements. Click here for our Ts & Cs.

Finally, PLEASE check your contact details

We’ve had situations in the past where people have old or unused email addresses saved with lovefood. This means that although they’ve been picked as the winner of one of our competitions, we’ve had to give the prize to someone else as they've not got back to us.

So please take a second to sign in (you need to do this to enter the competition anyway), click ‘My settings’ at the top, and check that ‘My email address’ is the one you use regularly. Also keep an eye on your spam folder. And finally, if you’re on Twitter please include your @twitter name in your answer too. Good luck!
