The sunniest of months will bring a whole host of foodie festivals with it. Here are our favourites to watch out for.

What have we got to look forward to for the rest of summer? Well... a lot. We've put a list together of all the foodie events going on in August, but as ever please do share your local events in the comments section below

HullBid Yum! Festival

What: Food, fringe events, cooking demos, grow-your-own tips and more.
When: 7th-9th August
Where: Hull, Yorkshire.

Foodies Festival: Edinburgh Inverleith Park

What: BBQ arena, guest chefs, live music, food and drink theatres plus children's cookery classes.
When: 8th-10th August
Where: Inverleith Park, Edinburgh

Clitheroe Food Festival

What: 100+ food and drink exhibitors, pop-up restaurant and stands, children's food-based activities, music and much more. 
When: 9th August
Where: Clitheroe, Lancashire

Nottingham Food & Drink Festival

What: Chefs including The Fabulous Baker Brothers, Masterchef winners Mat Follas and Shelina Permalloo, Levi Roots and Dean Edwards will be appearing. There will also be a real ale tent and food hall.
When: 16th-17th August
Where: Wollaton Park, Nottingham

London Craft Beer Festival

What: 18 world class brewers, over 100 beers, locally supplied food, dishes inspired by craft beers so you can enjoy a bottle beside your meal – a beer lover's paradise.
When: 16th-18th August

Richmond Artisan Food Fayre

What: Artisan produce from various producers and suppliers, more details to be announced in coming months. 
When: 17th August
Where: Richmond, North Yorkshire.

Alba Real Ale Weekend

What: Lots of ale and lots of music.
When: 22nd-24th August
Where: Royal Tay Yacht Club, Dundee
Cost: Friday evening £3, Saturday & Sunday £6 each day.

Oxford Wine Festival

What: Sample award-winning wines from over 20 countries. Each day is divided into an afternoon and evening session – one ticket gives entry to one session.
When: 23rd-24th August
Where: Oxford Union, Oxford
Cost: First 100 tickets for each session £14.50. After this, price increases to £19.50.

Brecon Beacons Summer Fayre

What: Food, music, arts and crafts. 
When: 23rd-25th August
Where: National Park Visitor Centre, Libanus, Brecon Beacons
Cost: Free entry, £2 to park all day.

Kilkeel Fish Festival

What: Seafood buffet, cookery demonstrations, oyster eating competition, local produce and craft stalls and live music.
When: 23rd-26th August

The Ould Lammas Fair

What: Ireland's oldest traditional market fair. Expect street entertainment, traditional music and stalls selling crafts and food.
When: 26th August
Where: Ballycastle, Co. Antrim, Northern Ireland.

Proper Food Festival: North Shields

What: Over 100 artisan food stalls, full bar, entertainment and cooking demos.
