As a new 'manly' advertising campaign for HP sauce is unveiled, we want to know what you put on your food.
Following hot on the (high) heels of Cadbury’s new Crispello chocolate bar aimed at women, HP sauce is launching an advertising campaign focusing on its ‘manliness’.
The new ad campaign extols male folk to “make a sandwich a manwich”. You can watch the new ad below:
Last year, HP faced criticism after reducing the salt content of the sauce, which fans said also reduced the taste. Here’s Channel 4 News’s Jon Snow doing a taste test:
I have to confess I’ve never been a fan of brown sauce. In fact, I think there’s a bit of a north-south divide when it comes to sauces, with us southerners preferring the likes of tomato ketchup and mustard to the brown varieties.
Anyway, we thought this was an ideal excuse to find out what your favourite sauces are and why. And indeed if you use different sauces on different foods or just stick to one flavour.
