Seniors in Thornton, Lancashire crowned Britain's top chippy at National Fish and Chip Awards.
Seniors in Thornton, Lancashire has been named as the UK’s best fish and chip shop at the National Fish and Chip Awards 2012.
The awards were dished out at a ceremony in London today.
Hanbury’s in Babbacombe, Devon came second, with Quayside in Whitby coming in third.
Seniors is run by brothers Alastair and Dominic Horabin. It was also a finalist in the Independent Restaurant of the Year and Good Catch categories.

Bridlington’s Fish and Chips at 149 won the 2011 title.
Industry experts anonymously visited the top 10, where they rated factors including product quality, customer service, hygiene and approaches to sustainable sourcing.
