The semi-final of Strictly Come Dancing and the final of the X Factor this weekend mean bumper sales for supermarkets and takeaways.
Between 15 and 20 million people are predicted to watch one or both of the shows live.
London food delivery company Deliverance said last year’s X Factor final weekend was their busiest weekend of the year. Orders were up by 26% on an average weekend.

Saturday night in particular is likely to be buoyant for takeaway sales as people settle down on the sofa.
Supermarket-wise, both Sainsbury’s and M&S have dine-in deals for £10 for two on offer to tempt those of us who are happy to do a little bit of cooking.
