It's only a week until One Pig Weekend, so to celebrate, here are some seriously tasty pork recipes.

Next weekend marks One Pig Weekend – two days dedicated to buying and cooking British Pork. The weekend is part of the Put Pork on Your Fork campaign and on 30 and 31 July, we’re all being encouraged to sign up and host a party that includes British pork on the menu.

It’s completely up to you how you want to throw your party – it can be anything from a barbecue to a picnic to a posh dinner party with friends. As well as enjoying some delicious pork, you’ll also be doing your bit for British pig farmers.

So to get you in the mood and get those creative juices flowing, we’ve put together some of the best pork recipes from lovefood.com.          

Perfect for picnics

If you fancy celebrating One Pig Weekend with a picnic, the perfect item for your hamper is a pork pie or three. And with this scrumptious recipe from the Great British Book of Baking, you can’t go wrong.

Melton Mowbray pork pies are the real deal, and this recipe ensures yours will taste just as delicious. It uses fresh pork – not cured – which is chopped by hand. It’s then flavoured with sage, anchovy essence, salt and pepper, and nutmeg. I can guarantee they won’t stay in the hamper for long!

Super for a scrumptious family supper

If you’ve got a lot of family members pouring into your home for a hearty Sunday lunch, the Hairy Bikers’ roast belly of pork should help to fill up their own bellies!

Brilliant with a barbecue
