Deli buys you have to try: three of the best Italian products available online.

Italian foods might be available in most supermarkets, but it's easy to get lost among the wide assortment – and it can be hard to work out which are the most authentic. Enter the online Italian delis who'll send artisan cheeses and meats straight to your door. We put three to the test and picked our favourite products. All you need now is a glass of good wine.

1. Gran Kinara vegetarian parmesan

Vorrei

What is it? Gran Kinara is the first aged cheese produced with vegetable rennet made from a type of thistle – an Italian tradition that goes back to the 1700s. The 12-month aged parmesan is suitable for vegetarians, and those following lactose-free or halal dietary requirements.

Why we love it? It's crumbly texture and tangy, buttery taste is very similar to regular parmesan. It's a great addition to any pasta dish or shaved over grilled vegetables.

Where can I buy it? Available online from Vorrei for £5.99 per 250g or £23.50 per 1kg.

2. Calabrian 'nduja spicy spreadable salami

Bellavita Shop/Facebook

What is it? 'Nduja is a cured meat from the southern Italian region of Calabria. It's a soft and spreadable pork salami, flavoured with chilli before its matured and smoked. Find out more in our complete guide to 'nduja.

Why we love it? It's extremely versatile and can be used on pizza, in salads or simply spread on toasted bread. Its rich flavour also works particularly well with shellfish and seafood.

Where can I buy it? Available online from Bellavita shop for £7.56 per 400g or Bellavita Shop store.

3. Puglian burrata

What is it? Made in Puglia by artisan producer Deliziosa near Andria, this burrata bursts with fresh cream and unspun mozzarella curd.

Why we love it? This creamy burrata is quite possibly the best we've ever had. Serve with a handful of juicy tomatoes and enjoy.

Where can I buy it? Available online from Nifeislife for £2.60 per 125g or £4.80 per 250g.
