Omar Allibhoy

Dubbed the "Antonio Banderas of cooking" by Gordon Ramsay, Omar Allibhoy's modern take on classic Spanish cuisine has gained him recognition within the industry, with TV appearances on Market Kitchen, Masterchef and This Morning. Omar has cooking in his blood - from the tender age of 5 he learnt to cook Spanish cuisine at home in Madrid under the watchful eye of his mother. By the age of 14, he had enrolled in evening classes at a local cookery school for the unemployed, balancing this with his daytime studies at school. He then progressed onto formal training under Ferran Adria of El Bulli and Jason Atherton at Gordon Ramsay's Maze restaurant to further his skills. After working as Head Chef at highly acclaimed restaurant El Pirata de Tapas, Omar has recently founded 'Tapas Revolution' in Westfield. Omar is incredibly passionate about Spanish food, in particular Spanish olives, and is currently working with Olives from Spain to encourage more Brits to use this tasty ingredient in every day cooking. http://www.olivesfromspain.co.uk/
