I'm a private chef and freelance food writer based in Newcastle upon Tyne, UK. I was born in Bombay, India where food was plentiful and I was also fortunate enough to sample varied cuisine in a subcontinent where every community has their unique style and methods of cooking which ultimately lend to the balance of flavours in Indian food.Coming to England made me perpetually homesick and I missed home cooked meals. With my spices at hand, I tried my best to emulate the kind of food I grew up eating. And I can proudly say that over the last 12yrs the flavours, textures and the variety of food I cook has gone down a treat with clients, family as well as friends. I also do various food demos along side award winning chefs in the UK, freelance features and talk all things Indian food related on BBC Radio Newcastle.
