Monica Cudjoe
Monica learnt to cook in Carriacou, Grenada at an early age. Her first experience of cooking was learning to make local bread called 'Bakes' - simple and very popular bread made in the Caribbean made from white flour and formed into small rolls. It was taught to her by her Grandmother Priscilla 'Tan Rosie' Cudjoe. Since starting her business Tan Rosie Foods Ltd in 2010, Monica still enjoys experimenting with food, watching TV chefs and buying cookery books. At Tan Rosie she creates a whole host of delicious jams, sauces, chutneys and seasonings to help people add a little spice to their food. Monica also hosts a secret supperclub at her home in Birmingham. At her monthly supper club in Birmingham she works hard to educate people about the different types of Caribbean cuisine to help bring a little sunshine into their food.
