Laura Amos
At just 30, Laura has worked at some of the most prestigious restaurants in the country, and now runs a premium dessert company The Dessert Deli. Set up in 2008, The Dessert Deli quickly became one of the highlights of the popular Northcote Road Market, as well as being stocked in some of London's most famous Food Halls, including Fortnum & Mason, Selfridges and Whole Foods Market - providing luxurious handmade desserts for food lovers. After finishing catering college, Laura served an apprenticeship under Jean Christophe Novelli (training under Richard Guest at Maison Novelli, as well work at EC1 Brasserie, Novelli W8 & Les Saveurs). After this Laura then worked as Sous Pastry Chef at The Ivy, Head Pastry Chef at Le Caprice and Head Chef at Popina, an award-winning Artisan bakery. Having proved so successful at a young age in a fiercely competitive male-dominated environment, Laura Amos set up The Dessert Deli after seeing a gap in the food market for luxurious quality, handmade desserts using only the finest ingredients to take away. Laura publishes her first cookbook The Dessert Deli on 31st October 2012.
