Andy Oliver
Andy Oliver is head chef and co-founder of London restaurant Som Saa. He started his culinary career on BBC’s Masterchef in 2009, where he impressed the judges and reached the final with his passion and flair for South East Asian cuisine. Quitting his job in the city, Andy went on to develop his craft in the kitchens of renowned Thai restaurant Nahm, London and Bangkok’s Bo.Lan as well running street food ventures with celebrated chef Alan Yau and working at The Begging Bowl in Peckham. Andy sources quality British and Thai produce to use in all his dishes and has curated a menu designed to introduce under-represented yet authentic Thai dishes to UK diners at Som Saa. The menu focuses broadly, though not exclusively, on the food of Northern and North Eastern Thailand.
