Sophie Wright
A regular on shows like Great Food Live, ITV Daily Cooks with Anthony Worrall Thompson and Food Poker on BBC2, Sophie is an established chef with more awards and medals than we can keep up with! She is one of the youngest and most successful chefs in Britain today. During her training at the highly acclaimed Westminster Culinary Arts College Sophie gained huge acclaim and was very quickly pushed into the public eye for her passion to compete and do well within the industry. After leaving the college Sophie was invited to join the British Culinary Academy competition team, competing on an international level. Since 2003 Sophie has racked up 50 national and international medals including a Culinary Olympic Silver last year Recognized as one of the country's youngest head chefs when she led the team at famous celeb hang-out Beach Blanket Babylon from 2006 - 2008. Since leaving BBB, Sophie has worked on numerous freelance projects from private catering, food consulting and recipe design and development. However the most exciting and eventful so far is the launch of her new company Sophie Wright Catering, with the ability to caterer for a bespoke intimate dinner party for 10 to a corporate contemporary event for up to 2000. The ethos is by using Sophie Wright Catering you gain access to fabulous food and menus, planned and designed by Sophie and her team tailored exactly to the clients wishes and expectations, but also to great quality and a huge range of specialty products and key suppliers that are 100% passionate and committed to high standard and presentation. Her debut book "EASY PEASY" was awarded the Gourmand Easy cook book of the Year 2008. She is currently working on the second book Home at 7, dinner at 8, which will be released in Spring 2011.
