Slow-cooker spaghetti bolognese recipe
This slow-cooker version of a spaghetti bolognese should be in everyone's repertoire. A family favourite, this recipe has minimal hands-on cooking time and can be left to bubble away until it's time for dinner.
Ingredients
- 450 g minced beef
- 1 onion, chopped
- 1 clove garlic, crushed
- 1 beef stock cube
- 1 stick celery, sliced
- 100 ml red wine
- 1 x 400g/14oz tin of chopped tomatoes
- 2 tbsp tomato purée
- 1 sprig rosemary, leaves chopped
- 300 g spaghetti
- 15.9 oz minced beef
- 1 onion, chopped

- 3.5 fl oz red wine
- 1 x 400g/14oz tin of chopped tomatoes
- 2 tbsp tomato purée
- 1 sprig rosemary, leaves chopped
- 10.6 oz spaghetti
- 15.9 oz minced beef
- 1 onion, chopped
- 1 clove garlic, crushed
- 1 beef stock cube
- 1 stick celery, sliced
- 0.4 cup red wine
- 1 x 400g/14oz tin of chopped tomatoes
- 2 tbsp tomato purée
- 1 sprig rosemary, leaves chopped
- 10.6 oz spaghetti

Step-by-step
- Fry the mince, onion and garlic to brown, and stir in the beef stock cube. Add all the remaining ingredients except the spaghetti and place in a slow cooker. Set on high and cook for 4 hours or cook on low for 8 hours.
- Cook the spaghetti according to the packet instructions and serve with the bolognese.
