Edd Kimber's baked figs with honey and cinnamon recipe
Juicy figs baked with honey, cinnamon, and chopped pistachio nuts.
While the recipe suggests using a barbecue, you could also bake the dish in a preheated oven until the figs become soft.

Step-by-step
- Gently squeeze the figs at the base to make them open up like a flower. Put into a heatproof dish (an enamel pie dish works great) or a foil tray and drizzle over the honey.
- Dot the butter over and around the figs, then sprinkle over a little cinnamon.
- Put the dish or foil tray onto the barbecue (away from the direct heat) and close the lid. Cook for 8-10 minutes, until the fruit has softened.
