Ingredients

  • 0.5 oz pecan nuts
  • 1.1 oz butter, chilled

  • 2 tbsp plain flour

Step-by-step

  1. Chop the apple into small pieces and place into a mug along with the brown sugar and cinnamon.
  2. Cover with cling film and pierce a few times.
  3. Microwave on high for one minute.
  4. While the apple is cooking, make the crumble by rubbing the butter into the brown sugar and flour until it clumps together.
  5. Stir in the pecan nuts.
  6. Pour any excess liquid out of the mug, then top with the pecan crumble and microwave on high for 1 minute until cooked through.
  7. Allow to cool briefly before eating.

Energy saving tip: use your microwave rather than your hob to pre-cook the apple, saving time and energy.
