Cold brew coffee and tonic recipe
This cold brew and tonic is the cocktail twist you didn’t know you needed: the caffeinated offspring of a classic Espresso Martini and a crisp, refreshing gin and tonic.
To layer your coffee liqueur on top, giving it a fancy twist, try this simple mixologists’ trick: pour it into the glass over the back of a spoon, so it settles over the G&T rather than sinking down. Don't worry if it doesn’t look perfect – the drink will be just as delicious.
Note: Use a generous amount of ice when making this recipe. The more you pack in, the slower it will melt.

Step-by-step
- Pack a large glass with ice, then pour over the dry gin. Top with the tonic water and stir gently.
- Carefully add the coffee liqueur on top, letting it settle on the surface. To float the liqueur, slowly pour it over the back of a spoon and watch as it delicately layers on top of the tonic water.
- Garnish with a fresh orange wheel to serve.
