Cranberry sauce recipe
Cranberry sauce is an essential accompaniment to any Christmas dinner. It doesn't matter whether you're having turkey or goose or duck or a nut roast, cranberries say Christmas. It's something you can just whack in jars and it will keep you going until next Christmas and onward.
Ingredients
- 600 g Fresh Cranberries
- 250 ml Port
- 1 Orange
- 1 Lemon
- 125 g Sugar

Step-by-step
- Place the cranberries in a pan and add the port.
- Add the zest and juice of the orange and lemon.
- Add the sugar and place the pan on a low heat, stirring until the sugar has dissolved. Then bring to a boil over a medium heat.
- Leave for about 20 minutes then take off the heat and allow the cranberries to cool completely before placing in jars.
