Ice cream with dates and cognac recipe

An easy, rich dessert that would be perfect after a light dinner on a hot day. It also goes well with nutty cakes!

You can prepare the dates marinated in cognac for a long time in the refrigerator, but it's recommended that you don't leave it for more than a month because the dates will have absorbed too much liquid. If you don't have any pre-prepared, just leave them for 2-3 hours like it says in the recipe.

You can also use prunes, dried mulberries or dried figs as substitutes for the dates, but Didem says that she prefers the texture of dates.
