Sometimes it's hard to eat as healthily as we'd like – so supplements seem like a simple way to plug gaps in our nutrition. But are they really as beneficial as we think? Research suggests that many supplements offer little protective effect, could have a negative impact on our bodies’ delicate balance and can even make us more susceptible to health problems.
