We’ve teamed up with top restaurant Burleigh Court to offer one loveFOOD.com reader and their guest a stay packed with fabulous meals and a side-order of some of the UK’s most beautiful countryside views too. Read on and enter the competition below.

While many of us are cooking more at home right now, we’re also dreaming of a time when we can enjoy a meal we’ve not had to make ourselves (not to mention the washing-up).

This is why we’ve got together with Burleigh Court to offer one lucky loveFOOD.com reader a foodie three-night stay at this decadent Grade II-listed country manor hotel near Minchinhampton, in the heart of the Cotswolds, valid between September and November 2021.

Best of British

With two AA rosettes head chef Shaun Jones offers seasonal, simple British food with a focus on quality and flavour at Burleigh Court's Restaurant. Sublime dishes on the à la carte menu include salmon served with a lemongrass ice cream, slow-cooked belly of Wiltshire pork, pressed cavelo nero polenta with heritage carrots and an incredible 16oz Chateaubriand to share.

Desserts – regarded as some of the best in the area – include Biscoff and dark chocolate torte and iced coffee parfait and are the perfect finish for any meal.

Keeping it local

If eating more sustainably is something you’re passionate about you’re in good hands – one of Burleigh’s key aims is to source ingredients within a 30-mile radius of the restaurant when possible.

The restaurant’s carbon foot print is kept low by making the most of local, family producers such as Walter Rose Butcher.

And thanks to the hotel’s kitchen garden some of the herbs and vegetables are grown mere metres away from where you're dining.

Dine in style

Whether you’re looking to indulge in a smart afternoon tea, Sunday roast or romantic dinner for two there are plenty of options.

Take a seat at the hotel’s historic oak-panelled restaurant or in fine weather dine on the front terrace with views over the Golden Valley, or opt for the back patio that overlooks the Mediterranean terraced garden.

Rest your head

Luckily, after dinner you don’t have to travel far – guests can choose from 18 rooms in five categories: Classic, Cosy, Superior, Noteworthy and Romantic. There are 11 rooms in the main Manor House and seven in the adjacent Coach House, two of which are dog-friendly.

And if you’re staying longer there’s lots to see and do in the area from Westonbirt Arboretum to Cheltenham Racecourse and even Alpaca walking.

You can also hire e-bikes to explore the Cotswolds on the hotel’s doorstep, or try out one of Minchinhampton’s three golf courses.

The lucky winner will get three-nights’ B&B accommodation with one dinner for two, including a bottle of house wine between September and November 2021. The stay must be taken mid-week.
