What better way to celebrate than with a homemade cocktail? We’ve got chocolate-themed suggestions, colourful creations, and even a cocktail named after a Duchess’s son.

Chocolate bramble

A chocolate-lover's cocktail (pictured above), made from dark chocolate, gin, lemon, blackberries and Crème de Mûres. Pour over a pyramid of crushed ice and top each glass up with chocolate liqueur, a single blackberry, and a piece of dark chocolate on top of each ice pyramid. Sheer chocolate class.

Green Green Green

greenNick Strangeway, award-winning cocktail mixologist, combines Green Chartreuse, Green Tea and homemade pine-infused Gin with ‘spanked’ mint in this light, refreshing long drink with underlying herbal notes. If you like the colour green, then you’re going to love this green green green cocktail!

Freddie Parker Bowles

freddieA long drink created by Nick Strangeway in honour of Tom Parker Bowles’ son, Freddie. Somerset Cider Brandy and rhubarb liqueur help create a fruity but refreshing result. Serve in a highball filled with rock ice, and top up with Prosecco for extra fizz. Garnish with a twist of orange.   

Spitfires over Kent

spitfireNick Strangeway’s Sptifires over Kent is a new variation on the classic Aviation cocktail. The base is Beefeater gin but the secret ingredients include homemade sloe gin and a very traditional Crème de Violette liqueur. Shake all the ingredients on rock ice and strain into a chilled glass.

Winter Hix 75

winterThis Winter Hix 75 is just one version of the famous French 75. Using the unusual ingredient of Seabuckthorn berries, foraged from the British coastline, which are high in antioxidants and Omega 3 oils, this striking orange cocktail could even pass-off as being good for you! Top up with Prosecco.
