If you’re planning a treat for your mother this Mother’s Day – and she loves cream teas – we have the perfect gift!

The Delimann is offering readers of lovefood.com the opportunity to win a Devonshire Cream Tea by post.  The package includes two Devon scones, strawberry jam, Langage Farm clotted cream, fruit cake and tea.  It comes beautifully wrapped and can include a handwritten personal message.

The cream tea

The four counties of Cornwall, Devon, Somerset and Dorset all have their own take on the cream tea -  lovefood.com couldn’t possibly say which is best...

Few foods have created such debate but this West Country treat manages to get even the most mild mannered of people fighting their corner.  People are very particular when it comes to cream teas; whether you spread your jam or cream first seems to be of monumental importance, but either way, they taste delicious!

The Delimann

The Delimann is an online deli specialising in West Country delights, often made by small, family run producers.  Starting as a specialty food store on the edge of Dartmoor in 1837, The Delimann now delivers its treats up and down the country.

Their online shop means that even if you’re tucked away in a remote corner of Northern England, you can still sample a taste of the West Country.

Alongside cream teas, The Delimann stocks a wide range of biscuits, chocolates, preserves and much more.  If you’re after something extra special, then their luxurious hampers should tick the box.

The Delimann are always on the lookout for local producers and this cream tea features clotted cream from Langage farm, based in Plymouth.  The cream is traditionally prepared on the farm from the Channel Island milk their herd produce.  Spread on a delicious scone and topped with jam, it is an essential component of a perfect cream tea!
