Win a Cookery School cookbook - signed by Richard Corrigan!

Updated on 28 March 2011 | 0 Comments

Enter our exclusive competition to win a Cookery School cookbook, signed by Richard Corrigan himself!

Here at lovefood.com, we love the Cookery School TV series, starring famous chefs Richard Corrigan and Gizzi Erskine.

Like Masterchef, the TV series follows a bunch of cooks being put through their paces. But unlike Masterchef, you don’t have to be able to cook to a really high standard already in order to get on the show. On the Cookery School, everything from knife skills to how to make a decent white sauce is taught from scratch – the motto is: Anyone can learn to cook.

And luckily for us, Cookery School is such a big fan of lovefood.com, they are offering our readers the chance to potentially take part in the next series! Just send an email to cookeryschool@redhousetv.co.uk to register your interest in being on the show, and don’t forget to mention you read about them on lovefood.com

The next best thing

Cookery school bookjacketSadly we can’t all make it onto the show and get taught to cook by Richard and Gizzi but the next best thing, in my opinion, is the Cookery School cookbook.

And the good news is, we have one  – signed by Richard Corrigan himself – to give away to one lucky lovefood.com reader.

Packed full of Richard’s recipes, the book takes you through the Cookery School’s classes from Basic to Advanced.

It doesn’t matter if you’re a complete beginner in the kitchen or merely want to advance your skills, the aim of this book is to turn ordinary cooks into extraordinary cooks.

As well as over 100 recipes, it also includes step-by-step photographs to teach you all the main techniques needed to master the dishes.

From chopping and clarifying to filleting a fish, jointing a chicken or making crème anglaise (good old custard!), it gives detailed instructions on everything you need to know to become a superb chef.

It also includes notes on equipment and ingredients and a glossary of terms and further techniques.
