Prestat Chocolates

Exotic ingredients gathered from far away lands, individually enrobed with the finest, dark, milk and white chocolate, all packaged in a fabulous pink and gold heart-shaped box – what could be more seductive?

Just in time for Valentine’s Day 2011, Prestat – chocolatiers to Her Majesty The Queen – have launched a new Mini Heart Box featuring a shamelessly seductive selection of their most popular handcrafted chocolates.

Established in 1902, Prestat is one of the oldest chocolate houses in London.  Its assorted chocolates and truffles are all handmade and handpacked in Great Britain.  The shop enjoys the patronage of politicians and stars of the screen and stage.  Loyal customers have included Roald Dahl, author of Charlie and the Chocolate Factory, who “adored” Prestat truffles. Prestat’s distinctive swirly packaging is designed by Kitty Arden – the renowned artist and illustrator.

Forget about the real world

There is something about receiving a box of Prestat chocolates that makes you forget about the real world.  First comes the unmistakeably luxurious pink packaging, next is the thrill of glimpsing the chocolates nestling inside,  then the pleasure as a one of the world’s finest chocolates melts in your mouth and, finally, the moment comes when you can resist no longer and bite into it…

Even then, the pleasure continues as Prestat’s chocolates work their magic and one leads to another.  Nibble a nutty cluster, tantalise with a toffee, abandon all restraint with a rose and violet crème and melt with desire with a moreish marzipan.

Where to buy it yourself

You can order boxes online at prestart.co.uk or call 0800 0213 023 to place a telephone order. They are also sold in shops you can imagine the Queen going to, such as Selfridges, Harrods and Liberty of London!
